Biohacking – Peter Attia

Biohacking: Somewhere between zero and epsilon

Peter Attia has something to say to all these alternative medicine biohackers out there.

1. “There are few concepts in the longevity space that inspire my disdain more than the b-word: biohacking – the notion that individuals can enhance health, performance, and lifespan by adopting an array of experimental, esoteric, and often expensive interventions, from over-the-counter supplements and DNA diets to young-blood transfusions…”

2. For most of these things there is zero evidence that it works

3. It distracts from what really matters. The things that move the needle the most are the most well-documented ones; sleep, diet and exercise

4. The probability of all these supplements and regimes will increase your lifespan is somewhere between zero and epsilon.
